Operation Christmas Child - Shoebox Appeal
Regretfully, due to Covid-19 Lockdown, the drop-off dates have changed. See new dates below
The Operation Christmas Child - Shoebox Appeal is an extremely worthwhile project run by Samaritan's Purse. It makes it possible for many ho undreds of thousands of children around the globe to be given a gift at Christmas time when they otherwise would not get one.
Each year the church supports this project by promoting, participating and acting as a drop-off point for donated boxes.
We believe that this year, due to Covid-19, this charity work will be even more important, with more children being in need, together with a likelihood of less gifts being donated.

Operation Christmas Child (OCC) aims to send Christmas presents to children in disadvantaged situations in many different countries, and by taking part, this is one way in which we can all help to make a difference. Every shoebox present donated ensures that one more child gets a present this Christmas. We will be doing things a little differently this year, due to the pandemic. If getting to the shops to purchase gifts to put in the shoeboxes is a problem, we are encouraging people to order their shoebox gifts online. You can do this by using the OCC website. If you choose this option, we would be grateful if you could drop us an email secretary@olneybaptist.org.uk to let us know. If you are able to fill a shoebox, the leaflet giving full instructions can be found on the Olney Baptist Church website, We will, of course, be following Covid health and safety procedures during the drop off times.
